QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor
'To ask the CEO to present an update on his latest contact with the Fettercairn Estate Management Group; will he give details of issues being dealt with and make a statement?'
REPLY:
Meetings of the Fettercairn Estate Management Committee continue to take place remotely on a monthly basis. The most recent meeting took place on Tuesday 8th November.
Staff from the Housing Department are in regular contact with members of the committee and are committed to supporting residents on issues regarding to their estate.
All bonfire materials have now been cleared from the green spaces at Kilmartin and Drumcairn and the Estate Management Unit will provide plants and shrubs for Drumcairn, Kilmartin and Kilcarrig.
In consultation with local residents the Council has agreed to provide 18 trees at the boundary of Drumcairn Parade and Butler Park, these works are included in the Council's Works Programme for 2022.
The Estate Management Unit arranged for the gate at the rear of Kilmartin, beside the Luas tracks to be closed off. This area was being used by individuals in stolen cars to access wasteland at the rear of Kilmartin.
Repair works have been carried out to the CCTV cameras at Drumcairn which are now fully operational.
The next meeting of the Fettercairn Estate Management Committee is scheduled to take place on 15th December.
