QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor

''To ask the CEO if he would now confirm when the long promised "Welcome to Tallaght" signs proposals will be presented to this committee and will he appreciate the clear need to progress this process and provide the necessary signage at each entry point into Tallaght and will he make a statement?'' 

REPLY:

A consultant has been appointed Wayfinders Systems Ltd. to carry out the branding, design and procurement contact for a large number of signs in Tallaght the villages and the parks throughout the county.  The "Welcome to Tallaght" signage will be included in this package work.

An estimated timetable for delivery of the signage is outlined below:

Appointment of Wayfinding Systems Ltd. (December 2021)

Brief for Branding, Design Works end January 2022.

Consultation drawings pack 6-8 weeks (by Mid March)

ACM briefing sessions (by Mid April)

Final Designs and Construction Pack 10 weeks (by end June)

Tender first Traunch (by Mid July)

Assessment of Tenders- 4 weeks plus CEO. (by Mid August)

Manufacture of signs 4 weeks (by mid September)

Installation of Signs 4-5 weeks (by end October 2022)
