QUESTION: Councillor T. Costello
To ask the manager for an update on the status of items which were on the Public Realm 2021 Programme of Works for Tallaght, which ones have been completed and which are outstanding and what is the expected timeline for completion.
REPLY:
An update on the status of each of the approved schemes is included below. The following points add some additional information in relation to a number of the approved schemes -
- Works on hold at item 14 below will be carried out as soon as the completion of Heatnet works allows.
- Public lighting schemes will commence at the start of the new year.
- Pitch drainage works will start in spring as soon as ground conditions firm up.
- The footpath around the Aylesbury open space is now complete at the community centre side of the park and connects with the public footpath which is adjacent to Firhouse Road West. This is what was intended to be done in 2021, however the completion of the loop within the park is being considered at present and will be proposed for inclusion in the 2022 programme of works.
