MOTION: Councillor Eoin Ó Broin

"That this Area Committee introduce a maintenance plan for the plaza in front of the Clondalkin Civic Offices that includes but is not limited to (i) the removal of weeds and (ii) the cleaning of stains from the paving slabs, by means of power hosing or some other way."

REPORT:

The plaza at the front of the Civic Offices is included in the maintenance schedule for Clondalkin Village. The works carried out include the removal of litter and sweeping the area. Recently a herbicide was applied to the treat the weeds growing in the area. This application has been very successful and the weeds are dying off. The condition of the paving will be discussed with Corporate Services to see if it is possible to address the issue of staining.
