QUESTION: Councillor T. Costello

"To ask the manager following up on membersnet queries requesting either new bins or additional bins in public parks in Tallaght can you give an update on when there is new bins planned for installation and where new bins were allocated 2021 to date?".

REPLY:

Over the past 12 months the Council has replaced and repaired existing litter bins and installed new bins at locations as listed below in the Tallaght area. The locations listed include both park and on-street locations.  A total of 40 litter bins have been installed in this period.  The Council has also provided 1,100 litre mobile containers in some park locations (3 in Tymon Park and one in Dodder Valley Park) to cater for the increase in park usage and the need for additional litter bin capacity which arose during Covid restrictions.
