QUESTION: Councillor T. Costello

"To ask the manager how many applicants are currently waiting for a response in relation to the Housing List application and how long based on all relevant information being supplied does it take for application to be fully processed?".

REPLY:

South Dublin County Council has 344 applications waiting assessment.  Once all the correct information is received, the application can be processed.   Details are available on the Council's website of the information needed.  Incomplete applications can cause delays, therefore it is essential that all applicants ensure they have completed the application in full and submitted any relevant documentation.    The Council will be moving to an online housing application system on the new integrated housing system which should ensure a quicker turnaround time for the procesing of applications.
