MOTION NO. 15

MOTION: Councillor D. O'Donovan

That the Manager installs a cycle lane on the Kilinninney Road, to facilitate school children cycling to and from local schools.

REPORT:

The Killinniny Road is included in the Cycle South Dublin plan as part of route 19a-e.

It is listed under the “soon” schemes which are projects that will be progressed within 5 years.

It is envisaged that preliminary design of a number of these “soon” schemes will commence in 2022 and route 19a-e will be one of the prioritised routes. This scheme will deliver safe and segregated cycle infrastructure along the length of the Kilinninney Road.
