QUESTION: Councillor Shane Moynihan

To ask the Chief Executive for an update as to when Ballyowen Square estate is to be taken into charge, as there was an intention to progress this file during 2021.

REPLY:

This Taking in Charge has been initiated by Plebiscite.  The original developer does not exist anymore. 

Therefore the necessary Taking in Charge quality checks, tests and any necessary remedial work must be done by SDCC. 

We estimate the time to complete the TIC process for this estate is 12 months.
