MOTION: Councillor M. Johansson

In Chapter 13 Implementation and Monitoring under 13.8.2 Car Parking Standards to add the following sentence: -The provision of parking spaces for car sharing/pooling will be encouraged and will not impact on the maximum rates in Table 13.25.

REPORT:

Section 13.8.2 relates to car parking standards.  The motion seeks to add the wording ‘The provision of parking spaces for car sharing/pooling will be encouraged and will not impact on the maximum rates in Table 13.25’.  It is considered that the proposed additional wording within Section 13.8.2 is reasonable and acceptable. 

Recommendation

It is recommended that the motion is adopted.

Insert additional wording within Section 13.8.2 Car Parking Standards after the bullet point ‘Zone 2 (Residential), as follows:

‘The provision of parking spaces for car sharing/pooling will be encouraged and will not impact on the maximum rates in Table 13.25’.
