Economic Development and Employment - pg 264 Motion: To amend EDE24 Objective 1 as follows: To facilitate mineral extraction in suitable locations subject to the protection of amenity and environmental quality, including air quality and noise pollution.

REPORT:

EDE24 Objective 1: states ‘To facilitate mineral extraction in suitable locations subject to the protection of amenity and environmental quality.’

The proposed motion seeks to change it to: ‘To facilitate mineral extraction in suitable locations subject to the protection of amenity and environmental quality, including air quality and noise pollution.’

There is no objection to the proposed amendment.

Recommendation

It is recommended that this motion be adopted to reflect the content of the motion.
