MOTION: Councillor M. Johansson

In Chapter 11 Infrastructure and Environmental Services under 11.5.0 Waste Management to amend IE6 Objective 5 to replace the word "seek" with "ensure". To ensure the provision of adequately sized public recycling facilities in association with new commercial developments and in tandem with significant change of use/extensions of existing commercial developments where appropriate.

REPORT:

The proposed motion seeks the replacement of wording in IE Objective 5. It is considered that the motion be adopted with amendment.

IE6 Objective 5: “To ensure to seek the provision of adequately sized public recycling facilities in association with new commercial developments and in tandem with significant change of use/extensions of existing commercial developments where appropriate.”

Recommendation

It is recommended that this motion is adopted with amendment.
