MOTION NO. 7

MOTION: Councillor C. King

That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to consider using the boundary of the inside of Westpark Estate along the railings as a planting area for a Pollinator Patch and to use it as an engagement and educational tool by organising the planting with the children of the Estate through the parents.

REPORT:

This proposal will be examined to determine if  the site is a suitable location for the planting of pollinators.  It should be noted that the public realm improvement works programme for 2021 has been agreed for the year and there is no scope to add any additional schemes in the current year.  If this area is deemed a suitable location it will be considered for planting  and proposed in the draft improvement works programme for 2022.
