QUESTION NO. 8
QUESTION: Councillor T. Costello
To ask the manager could the council consider removing the graffiti on the boundary walls of Castlepark which back out onto the 30 acres, most of the residents are quite elderly and cannot volunteer to paint over themselves, although this graffiti isn't offensive residents are not happy with it as it is really unsightly.
REPLY:
The boundary walls of the rear gardens of Castlepark facing into Bancroft Park are in the ownership of the residents and therefore not the responsibility of the Council. Planting climbing plants in front of the walls would alleviate the problem in time and provide a pleasant backdrop for park users.
