Page 225 COS 5 Objective 13 Remove word 'regardless' in this objective and anywhere else its mentioned in plan in this context. To replace with word 'irrespective'

REPORT:

The motion seeks to amend COS 5 Objective 13 to remove the word ‘regardless’ and replace it with ‘irrespective’ so that the objective would read as follows:

‘To ensure that parks and open spaces provide for a wide range of recreational and amenity activities that are easily accessible to all in the community regardless irrespective of age or ability.

It is considered that the motion is acceptable.

Recommendation

It is recommended that the motion is adopted as follows:

COS 5 Objective 13:

To ensure that parks and open spaces provide for a wide range of recreational and amenity activities that are easily accessible to all in the community regardless irrespective of age or ability.

And

To amend text in section 8.7.5 under ‘Recreational Facilities’, second line of the first paragraph to replace ‘regardless’ with ‘irrespective’
