MOTION: Councillor T. Costello

Chapter 8 Community Infrastructure and Open Space COS 4 Objective 7 That this council identifies and sets aside land for a motocross track in the county.

REPORT:

This matter of identifying a site for Motocross track has been examined previously without any success and has been challenges to finding a suitable location for such a facility. However, it is considered that this motion is acceptable with amendments, when taken in conjunction with motion 70765 which proposes a new objective to be included in the Plan. This new objective will read:

‘To support and where possible identify a location for the development of a Motocross track and support any applications for national funding, where available’. 

Recommendation

It is recommended that this motion is adopted with amendment to the proposed wording. This new objective should read:

‘To support and where possible identify a location for the development of a Motocross track and support any applications for national funding where available’.
