Page 215 8.5 Community Centres Paragraph two first sentence amend. Community resource centres provide service and supports to local communities, including by delivering services to families in diverse settings that exists across the County.

REPORT:

This motion proposes to amend the text in Section 8.5 Community Centre, paragraph 2, 1st line from:

“Community resource centres provide services and supports to local communities, including by delivering universal services to families in disadvantaged areas across the County”.

To:

“Community resource centres provide service and supports to local communities, including by delivering universal services to families in diverse settings that exists across the County”.

It is considered that this motion is acceptable with minor changes to the proposed wording to read:

“Community resource centres provide services and supports to local communities, including by delivering universal services to families in diverse settings that exist across the County”.

Recommendation

It is recommended that this motion is adopted with amendments to text within Section 8.5. The new wording is:

“Community resource centres provide services and supports to local communities, including by delivering universal services to families in diverse settings that exist across the County”.
