MOTION: Councillor Peter Kavanagh, Councillor Liam Sinclair, Councillor L. Donaghy, Councillor S.McEneaney

Community - pg 234 Motion: To insert a new objective to Policy COS 11: To pursue the development of a community theatre space in the Clondalkin area.

REPORT:

 It is proposed to include a new objective in the Development Plan for the preparation of a feasibility study on the development of Arts and Cultural Infrastructure in the County. The development of a theatre space in the Clondalkin area can be dealt with as part of this study.

The new objective would read as follows:

‘To prepare a feasibility study for the development of Arts and Culture Infrastructure within the County, taking account of transport links’.

Recommendation:  It is recommended that the motion be adopted with amendment to insert a new objective in Policy COS 8 as follows:

‘To prepare a feasibility study for the development of Arts and Culture Infrastructure within the County, taking account of transport links’.
