MOTION NO. 1

MOTION: Councillor L. Dunne

This Area Committee calls on the Chief Executive to have the unfinished traffic light pole and control panel completed on Kiltipper Way Road.

REPORT:

The crossing location in question was never completed as no pedestrian desire line developed at this location. The Council has undertaken to carry out traffic and pedestrian counts at a number of nearby locations on this road.

The Traffic Counts will be carried out when conditions normalise to get accurate numbers. When the counts are completed they will inform any decision on the optimum location, if any, for a crossing.
