MOTION: Councillor L. Dunne

This Area Committee calls on the Chief Executive to install a zebra crossing on Heatherview Road/Outside Aylebury Shopping Centre.

REPORT:

Previous Traffic and pedestrian counts at this location have indicted that other than at school times there are no particular locations or patterns of pedestrian use. At school times a School Warden is in place.

When conditions normalise a traffic count will be carried out to determine if pedestrian usage patterns have changed since previous counts.  In this particular case the counts need to be done when the school attendance returns to normal.  The traffic section commits to progressing this work.
