MOTION NO. 2

MOTION: Councillor C. O'Connor

That this Tallaght Area Committee calls on the CEO to confirm plans for the provision of "Welcome to Tallaght" signs on all the entry points to our County town and will he also confirm that all proposals in respect of this matter will be presented to the Tallaght Area Committee for approval; will he give assurances and make a statement in the matter.

REPORT:

A brief is currently being prepared to engage Consulting Engineers to prepare a signing scheme for, amongst other locations, gateway signing to reflect the status of Tallaght as the County Town.

It is proposed that all entries to the County Town will be so sign posted.  A determination of the  location, number and design of such signs will be included in the brief and proposals concerning these matters will be brought to the Tallaght Area Committee for discussion and approval.
