MOTION: Councillor M. Corr

"That this committee requests the Roads Department to immediately install a set of traffic lights at the T-junction at the top of the Jobstown Road which intersects Fortunestown Lane given the serious danger to the lives of both pedestrians and motorists alike."

REPORT:

This junction and its environs are included in the proposed RAPID traffic calming schemes 2006/2007. Traffic improvement issues are currently being assessed  and details will be available shortly. A traffic count has yet to be carried out in the area.
