COMHAIRLE CHONTAE ÁTHA CLIATH THEAS
SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
MEETING OF TALLAGHT AREA COMMITTEE (2)
Monday 24th April 2006
QUESTION No. 9
QUESTION: Councillor J. Neville
"To ask the Manager to have erected a railings with pedestrian access at *details supplied and will the Manager please note the history of illegal vehicular access at this location and that the extension of the existing bollards will not resolve the additional problem of anti-social activity at this location and will the Manager make a statement on the matter?"
REPLY:
It is considered that the provision of railings will attract more anti social behaviour than it will solve as youth tend to sit on railings thereby becoming a general nuisance. The matter will be placed on the agenda for the next Traffic Management Meeting where further options can be considered.
