MOTION NO. 12

MOTION: Councillor B. Lawlor, Councillor David McManus, Councillor L. McCrave

That this area committee requests the manager to consider measures to restrict access to the Boden Park estate through an archway entrance at the junction of Edmonstown Road and Scholarstown Road - to minimise anti social behaviour. 

REPORT:

Quotations are being sought at the present time for the installation of a gate or section of railing to close off the archway which leads from Edmondstown Road/Scholarstown Road to the river at Boden Park Estate.  It should be noted that this item is not on the agreed improvement works programme for the current year.  It is hoped however that the expenditure required to resolve this matter can be covered by the normal maintenance budget.  The elected members will be updated on the matter once those quotations have been received and examined.
