QUESTION NO. 7
QUESTION: Councillor David McManus
To ask that the grass verges are cut back from the pedestrian and cycle lane along R137 to Wellington Lane Templeogue?
REPLY:
The condition of grass verges, footpaths and cycle lanes have been examined on the R137 from Templeogue Village to the Spawell Roundabout. In general very little grass encroachment was found to be occuring from verges onto footpaths and cycle lanes, in most cases the cycle lanes are demarcated by a white line on each side and these are for the most part still visible. There is some encroachment and narrowing of the footpath close to the Spawell Roundabout, on both sides of the R137, and action will be taken to address this issue in due course.
