QUESTION: Cllr. Mick Murphy

"To ask the Manager to give an update as to where the tender process in relation to the proposed relocation of Saint Muirins House currently stands; and when does he expect to see the new proposed facility being fully built and ready for use?"

REPLY

A cost plan for the construction of the replacement Community Facility (St. Muirins) and the provision of 7 no. dwellings at Avonbeg has been submitted to the Department of the Environment Heritage & Local Government for approval.

 

Subject to the approval of the Department tenders will be advertised and negotiated with a view to commencing on site in September 2006. The contract is estimated to take at least approximately 60 working weeks for completion from commencement on site.
