QUESTION NO. 9
QUESTION: Councillor D. O'Donovan
To ask the Manager to repair the black tarmac path leading down from the back of Knocklyon Grove, past Idrone Park down towards Knocklyon Close. It has become raised and cracked due to the overgrown roots of a tree and poses a danger to older local residents out walking after dark.
REPLY:
The network of footpaths running through the estates and at the rear of houses in Knocklyon including Idrone, Knocklyon Heights and Mount Alton Estates are the responsibility of the Council's Road Maintenance Dept to maintain. The request to have the footpath in question repaired has been referred to the Roads Dept for attention. The Roads Dept have responded that they will deal with the matter and that works will be carried out there in due course.
