QUESTION: Councillor S. O'Hara

"To ask the Chief Executive, for an update on the resurfacing of the car park at St John's entrance to Corkagh Park?"

REPLY:

South Dublin County Council 3 year capital budget has allocated funding towards Corkagh Park as part of the implementation of the recent study. The renovation of the car park is included in these works being managed by the Corporate Services Project Team. At present the design consultants are being appointed to progress the masterplan. Regarding the car park in particular, a tender was carried out for the works on previous occasions but the tender returns were significantly above the budget sum. It is hoped that with the car park included with the masterplan proposals; that this will allow more value to be gained. A tender will re-issue in due course to complete the works.
