QUESTION NO. 3
QUESTION: Councillor David McManus
To ask Council Management to provide feedback on how safer walking and cycling might be encouraged for parents with kids between Grange Downs to Divine Word N.S. along Grange Manor Road in Rathfarnham, considering the large number of cars at school times.
REPLY:
The Council's Road Safety Officer can work with the school and other relevant stakeholders (i.e. Green-Schools Ireland, RSA, AGS) to identify appropriate options to reduce car dependent school related travel. A member of staff or parent from the school can contact the Council to discuss what support might be available to help facilitate more families and children to cycle, walk or scoot to school.
