Noting the previous success of the "Reclaiming our Parks" programme, this area committee asks the Chief Executive Officer to revisit this policy initiative to target parks in our locality which have become the target of anti social behaviour in an effort to maintain our parks at the highest possible standard

REPORT:

Extensive works have taken place in parks and open spaces during the 2020/2021 winter period. Significant inroads have been made in relation to cutting back overgrown vegetation, hedge pruning, tree pruning and litter collection. The areas targeted include Balgaddy open space, Cluain Rí Park, Ballyowen Park, Collinstown Park, Harelawn and Quarryvale Park. Works will continue on the maintenance of these areas throughout the year. The locations identified in the recommendations in the North Clondalkin Safety and Inclusivity report were also targeted during the works.
