REPLY:
The Council can give the following updates in regards to the winning projects from the €300K Have Your Say Firhouse-Bohernabreena initiative.
Project | Update |
Intergenerational Outdoor Activity Spaces in Glenasmole | The Council is working with Glenasmole Community in developing the plans for the Intergenerational Space. Current plans include funding a MUGA for the site, works on which are due to commence in Q2, if possible in regards to COVID-19 restrictions. |
Nature Trail along the river Dodder | The nature trail signage at Dodder Valley Park was installed before Christmas. There are some finishing works still to take place and these are scheduled for as soon as COVID-19 restrictions have been eased. |
Health and Wellbeing Garden in Firhouse Community Centre | Discussions taking place on how best to progress this project during the current COVID-19 restrictions. |
Playground Facilities at Ballycragh Park | Equipment has been ordered for the playground facilities, but works were delayed at the beginning of the year due to the country entering Level 5 lockdown over Christmas. Anticipate works beginning on site in Q2 but this is dependent on the situation with COVID-19 and easing of restrictions. |
Native Tree Trail in Woodlawn Park | Tender has been prepared for tree trail signage, to be published week commencing 8 March. |
