Draft Control  of Parking Bye Laws 2021 - Proposed Material alteration - Saggart & Newcastle Villages

REPORT:

South Dublin County Council in exercise of its powers conferred on it by Section 199(1)  of the Local Government Acts 2001, and Section 36 of the Road Traffic Act 1994, as amended, gave notice and published draft Control of Parking Bye Laws to control and regulate parking in its administrative area.

A public consultation process ensued from Thursday 23rd July 2020 until Friday 28th  August, 2020 inclusive, with an additional public consultation on a proposed material alteration for Monastery Park / Drive running more recently.

Due to an oversight two locations, namely Saggart Village & Newcastle Village were inadvertantly ommitted from the consultation process.

Preliminary notice of public consultation on proposed Material Alteration to the draft ByeLaws to include the following locations as set out hereunder is hereby advised to this ACM and the maps indicating the location and tarriff proposed are attached hereto this item.

Saggart Village: 

Garter Lane (Also known as Church Road also known as Main Street) from its junction with Mill Road to the western Boundary of St. Mary’s National School.   Tarriff A €1 per hour

Newcastle Village :  

Main Street Newcastle from it junction with Newcastle Boulevard via the R120 to its junction with the Peamount Road and then via the R405 to its junction with the Hazelhatch Road.  Tarriff A €1 per hour
