MOTION NO. 5

MOTION: Councillor D. O'Donovan

That the Chief Executive agrees to the have area of green scrub adjacent to "Address Provided" cleared so that it may be properly maintained by the local RA. This area is a magnet for drug use and illegal dumping.

REPORT:

The area in question here is at the boundary of a private residence in Darglewood and is at the end of the green space situated between Knocklyon Road and Templeroan Road.  The area has been examined and it is proposed that the undergrowth beneath the trees will be removed and that some of the low branches will also be removed.  It is proposed to carry out this work in the coming weeks, due to the anti-social nature of the activity reported in the area this is deemed to be essential works.
