QUESTION NO. 18

QUESTION: Councillor F. Timmons

"To ask the Chief Executive to issue a report into the Woodford Roundabout and to answer when will it be made safe? When will it be finished? To consider to put signage up if it can't be finished due to Covid 19?"

REPLY:

The works were scheduled to be completed end of February 2021, but due to current Covid 19 emergency procedures, the works are not now expected to be completed until the lockdown is lifted.

However the contractor is currently carrying out critical works only to make sure the road is safe for all road users in the meantime. The critical works comprise limited works on the carriageway (including roundabout) and pedestrian crossings. The critical works are scheduled to be completed Friday the 5th of February 2021, and  all other works will not be attended to until the emergency measures are lifted.

The Council sincerely apologises for any inconveniences caused to the residents and businesses.
