SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
MEETING OF TALLAGHT AREA COMMITTEE 1

QUESTION 9
QUESTION: Cllr. Joe Neville
" To ask the Manager to have repaired the fencing between *details supplied which was erected by the then Dublin County Council and which has fallen into disrepair in recent years and will the Manager make a statement on the issue?."
REPLY
Maintenance of garden boundaries whether fencing or otherwise is a tenant responsibility matter as set out in tenancy agreement , tenants handbook and in recent article in Tenants Newsletter circulated in February 2006 to all tenants.
Housing Response Maintenance Section can however consider sympathecially maintenance requests from tenants in difficult circumstances. In the case of senior citizens every effort will be made to deal appropriately with their maintenance requests.
The Housing Response Maintenance Section will in this instance examine the condition of the fence at this location and will carry out repairs.
