QUESTION: Cllr. Joe Neville

" To ask the Manager to have arranged the cleaning of the gutters at * details supplied  which are in a dreadful condition and will the Manager make a statement on the issue?."

REPLY

The cleaning of gutters is a matter for tenants as set out in tenancy agreement , tenants handbook and in a recent article in Tenants Newsletter circulated to all tenants in Feb. 2006.

Housing Response Maintenance Section can however deal sympathically with maintenance requests from tenants who may be in difficult circumstances .

 With regard to tenants who are senior citizens the Council will make every effort to respond in a positive manner to their maintenance requests.

In this instance the Council will clean the gutters when attending to window repairs and painting.
