MOTION NO. 21

MOTION: Councillor Yvonne Collins

Population Growth and Housing: That the County Development Plan shall have due regard to the need for green spaces and amenities throughout the county and shall avoid any overdevelopment which is detrimental to the community.

REPORT: 

The preservation and enhancement of green spaces and amenities can be a key part of the Draft Plan and is envisaged that the growth of population and housing can be supported by a Green Infrastructure and Open Space Strategy.  

Recommendation:

It is recommended that this motion is adopted.
