MOTION NO. 158

MOTION: Councillor Yvonne Collins

Economic Development and Employment: That the Council supports the businesses in our towns and villages to ensure that our villages remain vibrant and lively resources for our area.

REPORT:

The South Dublin County Development Plan 2022-2028 will support our county’s business in our towns and villages to ensure they remain vibrant and a lively resource for the area. 

The proposed direction will further support the CE Recommendation in Part 3 of the CE Report, Bullet No.1 under Economic Development and Employment which supports economic growth within the County, having regard to the National Planning Framework and the Regional Spatial and Economic Strategy and recognise the strategic importance of established urban centres.

Recommendation: It is recommended that this motion is adopted.
