MOTION:POPULATION GROWTH AND HOUSING P26, Add an additional Bullet point ' Take into account changes in work and living practices post Covod-19'

REPORT:

The content of the motion is noted. Provision is made for existing and future trends in employment, including changes in work and living practices under the CE Recommendations which will allow for considered objectives and policies to be included in the draft plan.

Recommendation: It is recommended that this motion is adopted with amendment. This type of policy provision can be considered as part of the draft plan preparation on foot of the CE Strategic Recommendations (See Part 3) page 31 as follows; ‘Ensure flexibility to facilitate existing and future trends in economic development and employment, including identification of appropriate zoning objectives and being supportive of different ways of working whether from home or otherwise’.
