MOTION: Councillor Peter Kavanagh

To include the following as strategic direction for the plan: Built Environment and Placemaking.  To promote the daily use of the Irish Language within the county in consultation with Irish language community groups

REPORT:

While South Dublin promotes the daily use of the Irish Language this is not a matter which can be promoted within a spatial planning framework such as the County Development Plan. 

Recommendation: It is recommended that this motion not be adopted
