QUESTION NO. 4
QUESTION: Councillor Yvonne Collins
To ask the Manager what long term plans are in place to resolve the problems with the water supply to the pond in Rathfarnham Castle Park
REPLY:
Some work was carried out in 2020 to identify the source of the problem with flow to the Rathfarnham Castle Pond and the situation regarding flow to the lake was improved as a result. It should be noted that much of the length of this watercourse is located in private lands and this has presented difficulties for both maintenance and inspection of it. A number of further items of work are planned, as listed below, however these cannot be carried out at the present time and will have to be deferred until after the lifting of the current Covid 19 restrictions.
