QUESTION: Councillor F. Timmons
To ask the Chief Executive to issue a report into Housing how many houses have been built ? How many acquired via Part 5? How many Council ran and owned and how many Housing Association or other? For the years 2020, 2019 and 2018?
REPLY:
A total of 1,318 new social homes were delivered countywide during 2018 to 2020 through various programmes including the Council's direct social housing build programme, through Public Private Partnership on Council land, by Approved Housing Bodies, from the social housing requirement on new planning permissions through Part V and through new build developments provided through leasing for social housing.
The table below shows the breakdown of new build delivery in South Dublin over the period:
