How many (a) School Wardens, (b) Litter Wardens, (c) Park Rangers and (d) Dog Wardens are there in this LAC
REPLY:
(a) School Wardens
There are 94 full time School Wardens and 12 Relief Wardens employed by South Dublin County Council broken down as follows:-
Lucan/Clondalkin Area – 36 Crossings
Tallaght/Rathcoole Area – 31 Crossings
Templeogue/Rathfarnham – 27 Crossings
(b) Litter Wardens
There are currently five full time Litter Wardens employed by South Dublin County Council. All of the wardens will operate throughout the County. For operational purposes each Litter Warden is assigned an area within the County however these areas are not currently aligned to Area Committees.
(c) Park Rangers
There are currently 3 Park Rangers employed to patrol the parks in the Lucan, Palmerstown and North Clondalkin areas. This number is augmented in the evenings and at weekends as the need arises to coincide with an increase in park visitor numbers and activities.
(d) Dog Wardens
There are currently two full time Dog Wardens employed by South Dublin County Council. Both of the Dog Wardens operate throughout the Council's administrative area. In general, one Warden patrols North of N7 and one South of N7 on a daily basis.
