Biodiversity Action Plan - establishment of Joint EPRCC & LUPT SPC Subcommittee

REPORT:

In accordance with SPC Standing Orders (No 16 refers) a Strategic Policy Committee may establish (no more than two) sub-Committees/working groups to examine particular policy issues at any one time, and the composition of such sub-committees/working groups to be comprised of a mix of the membership of the Committee.

In adopting the Biodiversity Action Plan, it was agreed at the November 2020 Council Meeting to establish a joint EPRCC & LUPT SPC Subcommittee. It is proposed that this Biodiversity Action Plan Subcommittee will work with the Heritage Officer, meet quarterlyin advance of the 2 SPC’s, make recommendations on the prioritisation and delivery of actions, review progress on the actions, and report to the relevant SPCs.

We are seeking nominations to the sub-committee, which will consist of at least 4 Members including a minimum of one Elected Member and one Sectoral Member.
