QUESTION NO.18

QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor

"To ask the Chief Executive if he will continue to keep the public fully informed about restrictions to Council services in these difficult times and will he make a statement?"

REPLY:

From the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Council has looked to keep the public informed of any changes or restrictions to services through a number of channels. Areas such as social media, website notices, poster displays and local media have all been used to inform citizens around Council services and public health guidelines. The Council has a dedicated COVID-19 section on www.sdcc.ie that can be accessed through the yellow banner that is prominently displayed on mobile and desktop devices.

The Council will continue to use such methods to keep the public informed as the pandemic continues and the Council responds to changes to the County's level in the government's Living With COVID plan.
