MOTION NO. 16

MOTION: Councillor E. Murphy

That this Area Committee requests that South Dublin County Council consider the implementation of benches across the Knocklyon area. In light of the current situation the provision of such benches would be very attractive to our ageing population in the area.

REPORT: 

SDCC hase no objection in principle to the provision of park benches on public footpaths.

SDCC would prefer to receive specific requests from local interest groups as local knowledge and proposals from walking and other interest groups would likey achieve the optimum outcome.
