QUESTION NO. 1
QUESTION: Councillor Carly Bailey
To ask the Chief Executive the nature of and status of an alleged agreement made with the Council in relation to getting further works and improvements done for the dog run in Tymon Park including drainage, repair works and a dog run for smaller dogs. Can you please advise who is looking after this currently?
REPLY:
The dog run in Tymon Park is maintained on an ongoing basis, the fencing and gates will be examined to determine what repairs if any are necessary. Substantial drainage works were carried out there in the past 2 years to intercept run-off from higher ground into the run, and also to drain any wet or soft areas within the run. The issue of drainage will be examined again to determine if further work is required. No commitment has been given with regard to the provision of a run for smaller dogs and there are no plans to provide such a facility.
