QUESTION NO. 5
QUESTION: Councillor D. O'Donovan
To ask the Manager, how many calls have been received in relation to leaf collections in the RTFB area? How does this number compare with the previous three years?
REPLY:
Requests for the removal of leaves for 2020 began on September 24th and between that date and October 29th a total of 74 requests were received by Public Realm from the Rathfarnham/Templeogue/Firhouse/Bohernabreena area. This compares with 16 for 2019, 52 for 2018 and 9 for 2017 from these areas over a similar time period. The arrangements in place for leaf removal have been improved under the terms of the new road sweeping contract, with a response time of 2 days specified in the new contract.
