To ask the Chief Executive Officer for an update on the teen spaces planned for Lucan

REPLY:

Consultants for the phase 1 teenspace are progressing with the design development for the facility.

The ball wall is substantially complete and proving to be a very popular provision in the area. As basketball seems to be highly popular within the space the Council has proposed additional teenage-related facilites at the ball wall location; including provision of basketball as a seperate provision within this area as part of delivery of phase 2 of the teenspace programme. This will allow the ball wall to be simultaneously used for other sports and maximise the use of the facility.
