MOTION: Councillor M. Johansson

That due to the length of time families have to wait for 4 bed properties, the Chief Executive make an effort to secure 4 bed properties in Lucan either through direct build, Part V or acquisitions.

REPORT:

There are currently  8 four bed homes in the 2021 delivery pipeline within the Local Electoral Area. The development with Respond Housing at Castle View, Finnstown, which is currently under construction, will deliver these 8 new build four bed homes in Q1 2021. The Council continues to review opportunities through acquisitions and Part V to provide  four bed homes in areas where there is a housing need.
