MOTION: Councillor D. O'Donovan

That the Manager reports on the costs of clearing up the underpass near the Firhouse Weir in Dodder Valley Park over the past five years.

REPORT:

The Council's Public Realm Section sweeps the M50 underpass on a weekly basis and carries out additional clean ups to remove litter and dumping as required, approximately once every two weeks.  It is not possible to give an exact cost for cleaning this location, however it is estimated to cost around €5,000 per year.  The location was inspected in recent days and found to be clean. The cleaning regime outlined above will remain in place.
